Meet Dr. Brent Buss

I’ve always had a special interest in health and wellness. Growing up, I witnessed my older sister struggle in school as well as outside of school in everyday life. Though I knew her so well at home where she was a typical northwestern kid, she was rarely looked at as a typical kid outside of the house. She was eventually diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome which had me digging into the things that made her socially different than me. Today, she is beautiful, extremely smart, caring and one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever met. It’s to her that I owe my healthcare journey to.

After deciding that the chiropractic field fit me best, I applied to chiropractic school and was accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic. I had a window of time before school started that I had to fill with a job after I graduated from undergraduate school. This led me to a pharmaceutical testing company which not only opened my eyes to medicine and pharmaceuticals, but it also amplified my excitement for a natural healthcare field like chiropractic. While I was injecting mice and rats with needles and shoving tubes down their throats, I quickly realized how devastating and toxic many medications are. Watching these animals transform into different creatures, whether it was anger and rage or lethargic sleep walking, many drugs that caused these changes were still passed on to the next phases in testing only to go out to the general public for use.

Fast forward a few years, I found myself on a clinic abroad trip in Hyderabad, India. We were able to witness life changing miracles in people of all ages who had never had anyone touch them in ways that could make them feel better or move better. From helping a little girl with a type of dystrophy move and function better to gently treating an elderly man with his neck and head discomfort, it was easy to see how much people’s lives can change with simple, non-toxic, no side effect types of treatments. The image of him sobbing while kissing my hands is burned into my memory and will forever be on my heart to continue to help as many people as possible.

After many years of practice, I saw that so many families and kids can make a drastic impact in their health with the smallest of changes to their lifestyles. While reading The Monsters Inside of Me, you’ll find a few simple tips that are designed to instill these changes in your life. If you’re a healthcare professional, an influencer, or a parent, you’ll find tremendous value in this book. And this is just the start. We may come out with more books and ways to help impact kids from all walks of life, but either way, it’s important to remember that sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest differences.
